Its been fairly quiet on the home touring front for Closure In Moscow. The virtuosic band have been blazing a path through Europe and the UK with Dance Gavin Dance, leaving a trail of stunned reviewers and converted fans in their path, but Australian audiences haven’t been gifted with the band’s gifted musical talents since they played Pyramid Rock over the 2012/13 New Year.
But promoters New World Artist are bringing Closure In Moscow back home this July, where they will put the finishing touches on their highly-anticipated second studio album Pink Lemonade, which will be released later this year.
“The next album is pretty heavily influenced by the fool’s journey and some of those insights,” vocalist Christopher DeCinque shared with Tone Deaf in an interview last year. “I won’t reveal too much now, but Pink Lemonade is kind of a metaphor for quick-fix enlightenment or just the question of enlightenment itself; that it’s actually something that people try and attain. I won’t go too much into it – it’ll make a lot more sense once the album’s out.”
“The wait will be well worth it… I think people that have been waiting for [the next album] and getting a bit impatient – all their prayers will be answered,” he added.
Before then, the five-piece will be taking their show on the road in July to showcase their dazzling new material as well as all the epic, genre-defying rock from their stunning debut First Temple.
