Keith Urban has a fourth #1 album in Australia, with his latest release The Speed Of Now Pt 1.

The Aussie country legend’s latest release – which is his 11th studio album to date – debuts atop the ARIA Albums Chart this week, besting efforts from global superstars like Taylor Swift, Juice WRLD and Harry Styles.

It’s his first time topping the chart since he released Ripcord in 2016, with his other previous #1 albums being 2013’s Fuse and 2012’s The Story So Far.

The record is one of the Aussie’s most-diverse to date, featuring tracks like ‘Out The Cage’ with Breland and Nile Rogers, as well as hit single ‘One Too Many’ with pop stalwart P!nk.

The latter debuts at #6 on the ARIA Singles Chart, making it the highest-ranking Australian single on the chart, and ‘One Too Many’ is also the #1 single at Australian Country Radio this week.

That makes it Urban’s highest ever single on the all-genre singles chart, and with P!nk and her eight ARIA #1 singles in his corner, could become the Aussie’s first-ever #1.

His previous highest single came with ‘One In A Lifetime’ in 2006.

“I’ve always loved Pink’s voice,” Urban said in a statement. “But her artistry and her multi-faceted ability to create, and her God-given talent, truly makes her one of the greatest voices of our time.”

The pair performed the track live at the CMA Awards earlier this month, broadcasting from two separate remote locations.

Urban told Rolling Stone that each year his drive to take risks grows.

“Every year I wake up a little more, for better and worse. I feel like I’m emerging up out of the dream every year and more of the facade is falling away. I’m seeing things and feeling things in a much more real way,” he said.

Every year unfolds and there’s a bit too much fucking perspective. But I use it to my advantage and go, “Let’s explore.”

“I don’t mean to sound all hippie-dippy, but I’m very drawn to and driven by what connects everything far more than what separates us.”
