Luke Combs has created history on the ARIA end of year Country album sales chart, taking both the #1 AND #2 positions.

His debut album This One’s For You (released over 2 years ago) has also come in at #1 for country albums sales in 2019.

The album’s Deluxe Edition, featuring the songs ‘Beautiful Crazy’ and ‘She Got The Best Of Me’ spent most of the year at #1 on the ARIA chart and also returned to the ARIA top 10 across all genres last March.

And following its debut at #1 across all genres in November, Combs’ latest album What You See Is What You Get came in at #2.

What You See Is What You Get, which features the recent #1 singles ‘Beer Never Broke My Heart’ and ‘1,2 Many’ is currently #1 on the the weekly ARIA Country chart and is likely to stay there for some time.

Lee Kernaghan came in at #3 with his latest album, Backroad Nation.

Backroad Nation was therefore the highest selling Australian country album and as a result will win a Golden Guitar for Highest Selling album at the Golden Guitar Awards on January 25.

It also been announced today that Kernaghan is part of the Fire Fight Australia bushfire relief concert lineup, which will be headlined by Queen + Adam Lambert.

Australian artists Morgan Evans with Things That We Drink To and Keith Urban with Graffiti U complete the top 5.

Both those albums were released in 2018.

Meanwhile, Triple M Country’s Good Times – Great Country was the highest selling country compilation of 2019.
