Oh the irony! GIRL singer Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd today announced that they are expecting a baby boy early next year.
They both revealed the news via their social media accounts earlier this morning.
“The irony is just too rich that after a year of living in the GIRL headspace, the universe would give us a baby boy to even things out,” Morris wrote.
“See you in 2020, little one.”
It’s been a huge year for Morris who released the chart topping album GIRL, headlined her own tour in the USA and Europe, released an album with The Highwomen and even posed for Playboy!
Meanwhile, in his own post re the announcement, Hurd expressed joy regarding his fertility!
“MY BOYS CAN SWIM,” he proclaimed.
“BABY BOY HURD 2020! Look at her…cannot believe this life with this girl. Also, thank you George Constanza for this caption that I’ve been sitting on my entire life…” he continued.
The husband and wife duo both appear in Morris’ sexy music video for her current single ‘The Bones.’
They first met in 2013 during a songwriting session, where they collaborated on ‘Last Turn Home’ for Tim McGraw.
They began dating in 2015 and announced their engagement in July 2017.

Morris is nominated for six awards at the upcoming CMA Awards, including Album of the Year for GIRL and Female Vocalist of the Year.
The baby boy is due in March.
