Melanie Dyer has gone to the top of the national country airplay chart this week.

Her current banger ‘Memphis T-Shirt’ has moved up one spot to #1 on The Music Network’s Country Hot 50. 

Dyer sits just ahead of Morgan Evans who moved to #2 (up from #6) this week.

Other new entries in the top ten include Brad Cox with ‘Give Me Tonight’ (up to #5 from #18), Kelsea Ballerini with ‘Homecoming Queen (#7 from #14), Dan + Shay and Justin Bieber with ‘10,000 Hours’ (#8 from #12) and Amber Lawrence with ‘Hell To Hallelujah’ (#10 from #24).

Other Australian artists to enter the chart this week with new songs include Stephanie Penrose (#38), Michael Waugh (#39) and Paul Kelly with Kasey Chambers (#43).

‘Memphis T-Shirt,’ released in October, has quickly become on of the biggest country hits of the year.

Not only has it now topped the country charts, but it has become a popular tune on the Hit and Nova radio networks across Australia.

“This response is blowing me away. I’m doing a major happy dance right now,” said Dyer on Instagram when telling fans about the #1 result.

Dyer will headline Live & Loud at the upcoming Tamworth Country Music Festival.

She’s also just announced a headline show in Sydney next February.

Before she winds down for Christmas, Dyer be the next guest on the Tone Countrycast.

That episode will go live this Wednesday.
