Riowr! Saucer of milk to Los Angeles, where Billy Corgan and Courtney Love are having a spectacular Twitter catfight. It seems the Smashing Pumpkins front man and former lover of Courtney Love is having a tantrum because he reckons she’s stolen songs off him for her new album.
People were stocking up on popcorn worldwide as the Hole front woman and sole remaining original member copped the ire of Billy. The bald brawler told his 40,000 Twitter followers: “My face is my face, my heart is my heart, my money is my money. Oh, and my songs are MY songs … If you can’t write your own songs maybe you should just be happy that you fooled someone into doing your work for you. Maybe you should go [somewhere] nice [and] live off your husband’s money, [you] know, the money he made for writing all those great songs.”
Ouch.
Courtney was surprisingly mild in her response, saying: ‘All i am is nice about you so if you wanna be mean be mean I don’t feel anything.’
Billy couldn’t resist a few more swipes, having a dig at Courtney losing custody of her child with Kurt Cobain, Frances Bean Cobain, by saying; ‘Only u could abandon such a beautiful, incredible child who is smarter than u, cooler than u, and better than u. Oops, did I say too much?’ He finished up his tirade for the time being by saying: ‘So have your moment, burn up in the sun that laughs at u as equally as it appears to celebrate u+sleep knowing u have no honor.’
Apart from lacking a bit of grammar and syntax, this is shaping up to be one of the best public car crashes these two publicity whores have been involved in.
