Following the release of The Deathbed Sessions, Perth hardcore ensemble Cursed Earth have declared they will be spreading their sonic chaos across the land, with a run of headline dates going down in July.

The Deathbed Sessions may be just a seven-track mixtape, but it’s what Cursed Earth did with it that set the scene on fire. Currently sans a permanent vocalist, Cursed Earth tagged some of the scenes best and brightest to feature on the list.

The Amity Affliction’s Joel Birch was one such vocalist who lent their Midas touch to the release, as was Matt Honeycutt from Kublai Khan, Booka Nile and Sean Harmanis of Make Them Suffer fame and Cast Down’s Jack McDonald, who featured on the track ‘Operation’.

McDonald clearly left a lasting impression on the band, given they’ve tagged him to provide vocals for the entire tour. Cursed Earth guitarist Kieran Molloy expanded on their decision in a statement:

“We’re very happy to be bringing our friend Jack McDonald along on our Tyranny Across Australia tour, You would know him from his band Cast Down and the song ‘Operation’ from our mixtape. We’ve been recording with Jack in Sydney over the last couple of months and we’re very confident now that he’s the best guy to carry our old songs as well as the new.”

The Deathbed Sessions sees Cursed Earth rise from a place of uncertainty, after they parting ways with vocalist Jazmine Luders last year following allegations of abuse, which forced the band to cancel their Download Australia 2019 set.

If the furiously caged within The Deathbed Sessions is anything to go by (which it totally is), Cursed Earth will be uncertain of their future no more.
