David Crosby has responded to Ted Nugent’s recent claims that he deserves to be inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Ever year without fail, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ends up bringing out some rather controversial opinions from musicians.
While Trent Reznor recently said he “honestly couldn’t give less of a shit” about being inducted., Ted Nugent holds the opposite viewpoint, claiming that it’s “sacrilege” that he’s not in the Rock Hall yet.
Speaking to Myglobalmind recently, Nugent explained that his absence in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is “disrespectful” to the likes of Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley.
“Is it or is it not vulgar, dishonest, and obscene that Grand Master Flash, Patti Smith, and ABBA are in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame but Ted ‘Fucking’ Nugent isn’t?” he asked. “Is that the most outrageous and disgusting lie you have ever seen?”
Now, musical legend David Crosby (who has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, by the way) has hit back at Ted Nugent, citing a supposed lack of talent for his absence.
“That is really funny stuff,” wrote Crosby on Twitter. “He’s not good enough and he never will be. A hack player and no singer at all. Could not write a decent song if his life depended on it.”

Interestingly, this isn’t the first time that David Crosby has taken aim at Ted Nugent for his controversial views. Back in 2017, Crosby responded to an image of Nugent and Donald Trump by calling them “a pair of assholes”. In response, Nugent claimed that Crosby had “done so much substance abuse throughout his life that his logic meter is gone.”
Then, just months later, Ted Nugent again criticised the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for overlooking him, citing his involvement with the National Rifle Association as the reason. However, David Crosby was quick to shut him down, simply noting; “No the asshole just isn’t good enough.”
Maybe the message here is not to piss off David Crosby, because you know he’s got a crippling comeback in his back pocket.
