After charming Aussie hearts in 2012 on their tour to support their Grammy nominated record Codes & Keys, indie soft rock royalty, Death Cab For Cutie, have announced a slew of sideshows for all those fans that can’t make it to Splendour in the Grass.
Having just released their stellar latest studio album Kintsugi the Washington legends have revealed that they’re doing a full run of Australian headline shows including shows in Melbourne, Perth, Adelaide, Wollongong, Canberra and a signature headline performance at the Sydney Opera House, amazing right?
This tour will see the band play with the five piece live lineup that features the core membership of singer/guitarist Ben Gibbard, bassist Nick Harmer, and drummer Jason McGerr augmented by new touring members Dave Depper (Menomena, Fruit Bats, Corin Tucker, Ray Lamontagne) and Zac Rae (My Brightest Diamond, Fiona Apple, Lana Del Rey, Gnarls Barkley), both of whom contribute additional guitars and keyboards.
As one of the most sought after bands on the Splendour 2015 lineup, these sideshows are sure to sell out damn fast, so be quick. Tickets to all shows (except Sydney) are on sale now, with stubs to the Sydney Opera House show available from 10:00am on Thursday 14 May.
