Night at the Point have announced an all-star lineup headlined by pop superstar Delta Goodrem for its first edition.
Taking place on the Wrest Point Lawns in Hobart, Goodrem will lead the final of three open-air performances between November 7-9. Legendary rocker Jon Stevens has been booked to perform “The Noiseworks & INXS Collection” for the opening night while electronic mainstays PNAU will play on November 8.
“I’m beyond excited to be returning to Hobart after 20 years – and what a way to come back,” Goodrem said. “Performing at Night at the Point, surrounded by the energy of this incredible city and its people, is really special.”
The ARIA Award winner added: “The Tassie locals have always been so warm and welcoming, and I can’t wait to share this night of music and memories with everyone.”
Second Sunday co-founder Cameron Coghlan said they’re “chuffed to be expanding” the performance series to the Apple Aisle. The events company also run Night at the Barracks in Sydney and Night at the Parkland in Brisbane.
“Hobart is set to wow the crowd with a stellar lineup of premium arts and musical performances,” Coghlan said. “With its striking waterfront setting, Wrest Point offers the perfect backdrop for unforgettable nights of musical excellence and nostalgia – it was a natural fit for Tassie to be next.”
Wrest Point General Manager, Linda Collis, said the venue has long “been at the heart of Hobart’s entertainment scene.”
