Following rumours that Stone Sour were tipped to headline Soundwave 2013, we now have something a little more concrete to go on with thanks, once again, to the festival’s own promoter, AJ Maddah.
Much like the Parklife 2012 line-up leaks last week, we once again have social media to thank for the early confirmations. This time in particular, it was the twitter feed of the man behind Australia’s eminent hard and heavy rock festival (as well as the Harvest Festival bill), as Maddah let slip a few public communications over the weekend.
FasterLouder first spotted Maddah’s tweets while he was the Rock AM Ring Festival in Germany, getting in touch with a pair of acts over the social media site to discuss things Soundwave-centric. The subsequent exchanges confirmed that Wales’ successful agitators The Blackout and sludge metal act Kingdom of Sorrow are confirmed for the bill.
There are 2 things of which I am certain: @TheBlackout will play #SW13 & @SeanSmithSucks will get slapped silly by female bodybuilder.

Maddah also messaged Kingdom of Sorrow/Hatebreed vocalist Jamey Jasta about the possibility of “SW13 with KOS?” To which Jasta replied with a resounding yes, leading to this response
@iamnotshouting will do! so excited thank you!!

The other solid lead in the Soundwave 2013 trail is Cannibal Corpse vocalist Chris Barnes’ other act, Six Feet Under. Which was surreptitiously confirmed by fellow singer, Dez Fafara of Devildriver, who tweeted to a fan
Australia letting you know @sixfeetofficial will be on SW next year so you’ll get your chance to hear the Legend ….#apologies

Other acts touted for the bill have been suggested by fans tweets, to which Maddah has dropped hints on acts like Trivium, Papa Roach and Billy Talent.
But his feed also reveals as many definite rejections from the bill (Re: Pearl Jam, Rammstein, Motley Crue, ) as it does tantalising maybe’s.
Those looking for more unofficial announcements should keep an eye on AJ Maddah’s twitter account.
