Australia’s pre-eminent festival for your dose of music that’s fast, loud and heavy alike, is starting up the old rumour mill for next year’s run.

While we eagerly await the official lineup announcement for sister event Harvest, which was introduced just after Soundwave Revolution collapsed in spectacular fashion, the rumour mill has instead focused on the main event.

The number one source for Soundwave 2013 gossip? Well… that’d be Soundwave boss AJ Maddah’s twitter account, of course.

The keen-eyed among viewers of Maddah’s social network soapbox would have already picked up plenty of juicy info regarding the Festival’s seventh run. Including FasterLouder, who were the first to spot supposed dates in Maddah’s tweeted response to a fan question:

While another plaintive reply to an inquiry yesterday revealed Stone Sour as potential Soundwave candidates following the release of their new album in October.

Digging even deeper reveals further hints to who the Soundwave boss is targeting for inclusion, Trivium among them.


As well as teasers for Papa Roach and Billy Talent.

But his feed also reveals as many definite rejections from the bill (Re: Pearl Jam, RammsteinMotley Crue, ) as it does tantalising maybe’s.
