Despite being the last word in effects pedals and guitar fuzz when he’s fronting Dinosaur Jr, J Mascis has announced that he’s heading in completely the opposite direction by releasing a solo acoustic album next March. Entitled Several Shades of Why, the album will be released through Seattle’s legendary SubPop records. The track listing runs:
