I can’t be certain whether the DJ in charge of curating the vibes at the Donald Trump farewell MAGA rally was well practised in the art of irony or everything about this is completely sincere, irrespective, it feels like the only thing that makes sense.

As forlorn Trump enthusiasts swarmed to Washington D.C.’s Ellipse to protest Trump’s election loss, the scenes were soundtracked the event with iconic songs about losing. It truly was a decadent display of patheticness.

Former mayor Rudy Giuliani took the stage to the Village People’s ‘Macho Man’, before launching into a spiel about election fraud.

“If we are wrong, we will be made fools of. But if we are right, a lot of them will go to jail!” he told the crowd. “So let’s have trial by combat… I’m willing to stake my reputation, the president is willing to stake his reputation on the fact that we’re going to find criminality there!”

Truly there is nothing funnier than calling for a trial by combat after ascending the stage to a 1970s disco cut.

The DJ also treated the crowd to more mournful hits like Linkin Parks ‘In The End’, Celine Dion’s ‘My Heart Will Go On’, Elton John’s ‘Funeral for a Friend,’ ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’ and ‘Candle In The Wind’, and Pink Floyd’s ‘Brain Damage.’

This all went down in correspondence to an army of Pro-Trump supporters — who all look like they hunt Bigfoot for a living— storming the US Capitol building, halting Congress’s electoral vote count in protest of Trump’s loss. Lawmakers were evacuated from the building and total havoc was incited.
