With the unveiling of their highly anticipated debut album, Hills End, Sydney trio DMA’s are poised to go from buzz band to bona fide superstars and their reputation is about to stretch all the way to the US.

The band have managed to garner plenty of acclaim overseas, both in the UK and the US, with appearances at several notable festivals, including Austin’s famous SXSW, but they’re about to get a major profile boost Stateside.

As The Music reports, DMA’s are set to make their US TV debut next week with an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, one of the top-rated late-night talk shows in the country (and if you factor in YouTube, the world).

The boys will appear alongside Star Wars director JJ Abrams and Academy Award winner Helen Mirren on the Tuesday episode of The Late Show, which not too long ago saw a performance from Aussies Tame Impala.

It’s hard to believe it’s only been two years since DMA’s dropped their acclaimed debut single, ‘Delete’, which took the band from complete unknowns to one of the most buzzed-about bands in Australia.

It’s been a busy two years since then, with the band embarking on countless sold-out tours both at home and around the world, dropping acclaimed singles, and playing prestigious festivals.
