Every so often there comes a festival so important, so completely and utterly genre defining that it changes the face of pop culture as we know it. Woodstock, Coachella, Glastonbury and last year Melbourne’s first Dogapalooza.

Fortunately the folk over at Dogapalooza have decided to grace us with round two this year and, after a sell out event last year, this year’s festival is promising more space for punters and their four legged friends to discover, taking over Richmond’s Burnley Park this October. While the lineup is yet to be officially released, it’s probably safe to assume Snoop Dogg will be topping this year’s bill. Maybe.

In addition to the undisclosed musical acts, the festival will feature Melbourne’s finest food trucks, dog product vendors and, of course, dog rescue group stalls. Limited edition merchandise will be available on the day, so you can pick up a rescue pup and grab a tote bag to carry it around in, too.

Tickets go on sale August 17 with the full line up due out on August 26. The proceeds raised will go to Oscar’s Law, Stafford Rescue Victoria, Melbourne Animal Rescue and Puppy Tails Rescue.
