2019 could see still some of music’s biggest names dominating the charts, with records from the likes of Drake and Rihanna reportedly on the way before the year’s end.

If you’ve found yourself even thinking about popular music over the last decade, then you would have quickly been reminded that Drake and Rihanna are some of the most successful artists on the scene today.

As it stands, it’s currently been almost four years since Rihanna topped the charts with Anti, while Drake (who featured in lead single ‘Work’) managed to break a bunch of records with Scorpion just last year.

However, it looks like you can expect a bit of chart domination from these two global superstars very soon, with reports that they’re both on track to release new albums before the end of 2019.

As Hip Hop N More reports, numerous French journalists attended the annual Open Session of Universal Music France, where CEO Olivier Nusse reportedly dropped a few bits of interesting info in regards to upcoming releases.

The notable takeaways from this event included the fact that Rihanna is gearing up to release her long-awaited ninth album this December, something the artist had recently alluded to in a recent discussion with Interview.

“It really does suck that it can’t just come out, because I’m working on a really fun one right now,” the artist explained “I’m really happy with a lot of the material we have so far, but I am not going to put it out until it’s complete.

“It makes no sense to rush it, but I want it out. I’ve gotten to the point where I’m like, ‘Even if I don’t have the time to shoot videos, I’m going to put an album out.’”

Meanwhile, 2019 is also set to see new albums from the likes of Drake, Migos, Kanye West, and The Weeknd in November.

Although Drake recently dropped his The Best In The World Pack EP back in June, he also revealed via Instagram around the same time that he was in “album mode”, meaning that you might want to prepare for another massive Spotify campaign in the near future.

However, mention of a new Kanye West album in November undoubtedly makes us raise our eyebrows a little bit.

While Kanye had been gearing up to release Yandhi for most of the last year, a recent announcement from wife Kim Kardashian revealed that Yeezy would instead release Jesus Is King on September 29th.

However, with Kid Cudi recently explaining that Kanye wants to see a Kids See Ghost sequel, we could in fact be looking at another massive collab from the two huge artists.

Whatever the case, 2019 is looking like it’s still got plenty left in the tank when it comes to music.
