Adelaide outfit DRESS CODE are back with a fresh single, sharing ‘Plans For You’ as the latest taste of their upcoming EP.

Ever since they released their debut single back in 2018, DRESS CODE have set themselves apart as one of the finest purveyors of indie-rock to come out of Adelaide in a long time.

Having played alongside the likes of Spacey Jane, I Know Leopard, Tyne James Organ, TOWNS, Bakers Eddy, Mosquito Coast, and Sinclaire, the group have been testing out their awesome tracks before some eager audiences for quite a while, curating a fervent fanbase in the process.

With a few new tracks dropping over the last year (including ‘Candy Heart’ in February), the group have been working hard towards their debut EP. Now, they’ve shared their latest single, ‘Plans For You’, the latest taster from the EP which arrives later this month.

“Plans For You’ is a song about finding happiness, and fighting hard to keep it,” explains frontman Ollie Miller. “Moving from monochrome to technicolour, and planning for a future there.

“We explored the idea of attaching fictitious meaning to moments on ‘Youth Culture’ – this song is about feeling those moments, and knowing they’re real.”

Recorded by Jarred Nettle at House of SAP, mixed by Adrian Breakspear, and mastered by
Ben Feggans at Studios 301, DRESS CODE explain that their Predict My Death EP, which drops on April 29th, serves as a glimmer of hope and a reminder that things will be okay.

“Each song on the EP is a checkpoint in my journey of trying to understand myself,” Miller explains. “Looking at the hard times and using them as a tool to make the future easier.

“It’s a record about trying to find yourself amongst the chaos, picking yourself up from the rubble, and reminding yourself that it’s okay to not know everything and you won’t feel the same way forever. You can’t predict anything.”
