Dune Rats are currently tearing their way across Europe with fellow Aussies The Gooch Palms, playing to packed venues and getting into the expected amount of mischief, with plenty of clips emerging of sweaty crowds giving our boys a warm welcome.

The latest bit of footage to emerge from the tour is something particularly cool though, with the bands teaming up to give German club Molotow a cover of ‘Nice Day To Go To The Pub’ by Aussie punk rock legends The Cosmic Psychos. Considering they’re bashing it out on a pretty limited setup, it actually sounds pretty raucous.

The intro is just as loose, too. Clearly sick of being asked what the craziest thing to happen on tour has been, the band tell their hosts that they committed a certain act of bestality, before claiming that they “ate hot cat eggs from a dead cat”. That’s some European cuisine we haven’t tried, and a very disarming response to kick off an interview with.

Check out the cat egg tale, and the cover itself, below.
