In a shock announcement that absolutely nobody expected, Heinz has partnered with Ed Sheeran yet again to launch their limited edition line of Tomato Edchup, which is on Woolworths shelves now.
Sure, we may have picked up a few tomatoes in our lives and thought, hey, this kind of looks like Ed Sheeran, but in no point in time did we think that the man would actually be on the face of ketchup bottles.
To celebrate their historic 150th birthday, Heinz has collaborated with their biggest fan and part-time Ketchup fanatic, Ed Sheeran, to bring us Aussies a specially designed bottle of ketchup. Edchup, which is the official of the product, is officially available in Woolworths stores nationwide, but only for a limited time.
Are you EDxcited? On the EDge of your seat? Look, the puns are harder than you’d think.
Why Ed though? Well, essentially, the man has legitimately been a vocal fan of Heinz for years, with multiple posts extolling his love for the brand of Tomato Ketchup. The brand’s label is even tattooed on his arm.
This collaboration project, titled ‘Heinz x Ed Sheeran,’ all began when Ed reached out to Heinz on Instagram with an idea for a TV ad, based on his own experiences asking for his favourite Tomato Ketchup in fancy restaurants. The idea soon became a reality.
You can watch the rather amusing ad below.

Already, fans have flocked to their local Woolies to snag a bottle of limited edition Edchup, and the pics are simply adorable.
Young kids as of Wednesday have embraced the product launch, taking photos with their favourite singer’s bottle of ketchup. What could be more wholesome?
Edchup is on promotion at Woolworths from 7-13th August, priced at $2.50 during this period, with the standard retail price at $3.20. Edchup is available exclusively at Woolworths, while stocks last (available at physical Woolworths stores only, not online).
