“The King Is Back, and he’s playing grunge!” That’s the catch-cry for Elvana, an Elvis-themed Nirvana tribute band who are touring Australia next year.

For years now, we’ve seen some rather strange bands on the scene. Why, there’s the Ned Flanders-inspired Okilly Dokilly, there’s Mac Sabbath (a strange combination between Black Sabbath and McDonalds), and who could forget, Misfats, the slightly-overweight Misfits cover band?

A few years ago though, the world welcomed Elvana, a unique musical combination that answers the question, “What would Nirvana sound like if Kurt Cobain was replaced by Elvis?”

Formed in North-East England, the group consists of Elvis, Danny Cobain, Rob Novoselic, and Bobby Grohl, and sees the outfit dishing out 1950’s inspired grunge-rock at every turn.

Esoteric? A little. Strange? Maybe? Astonishing? You bet!

Now, Elvana are set to launch their debut tour of Australia, announcing a run of tour dates for May of 2020 earlier today.

“Ladies and gentleman of Australiashire! You are about to witness something you’ve never ever seen before… In a good way!” the group’s frontman, Elvis, explained.

“We couldn’t be any more excited to bring our lil ol’ show down under and boy are we gonna have one hell of a time!? Come as you are, mate.”

Kicking off at the Astor Theatre in Perth, Elvana’s tour will see the eclectic group hitting up Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne, and Sydney equally confounding and astounding audiences along the way.

Tickets to their upcoming tour go on sale this Friday, so don’t miss out on this amazing experience.
