The Rap God himself, Eminem, has recently revealed his list of who he believes to be the greatest rappers of all time – a toss-up between quite a few rappers.
Over the weekend, YouTuber NoLifeShaq produced a video where he decided to privately message 30 of the biggest names in rap hoping to find out who they thought “the greatest rapper of all time” was.
Initially, Eminem didn’t get back to NoLifeShaq. However, yesterday morning Eminem publicly responded by tweeting who he thought were the greatest rappers of all time, and for him, it’s quite a toss-up.
So, who did he choose? In no particular order, here’s who he tossed up between: Lil Wayne, 2PAC, Royce Da 5’9″, Jay-Z, Redman, Treach, Kool G. Rap, Biggie, and King Crook.
Although it was soon noted that Eminem selected many massive names in the hip-hop world, he soon followed up with a few additional picks, stating “Plus Redman, LL [Cool J], Nas, Joyner [Lucas], Kendrick [Lamar], [J] Cole, Andre [3000], Rakim, [Big Daddy] Kane…”
It’s been about two decades since we last heard Eminem offer up his opinion on his greatest rappers. on his 2002 hit ”Till I Collapse’, however the list he penned this weekend kept a few of these tried and true faves alive.
“I got a list, here’s the order of my list that it’s in / It goes Reggie, Jay-Z, 2Pac and Biggie / André from OutKast, Jada, Kurupt, Nas and then me.”

It’s also noted that Eminem has previously noted Tupac Shakur to be “the greatest songwriter of all time” where he stated on Sirius XM Shade 45 Radio: “Debate what you want about MC skills and all that because he had that, too. This is one of them songs by Tupac that, to me, was like, he was showing you I can write heartfelt shit and I can write lyrical, crazy shit, too.”
