Legendary rapper Eminem has brought hip-hop artist Royce Da 5’9″ on in a new position at his Marshall Mathers Foundation.

Taking to Instagram, iconic rapper Eminem announced that Royce Da 5’9″ will be joining the Marshall Mathers Foundation as the Director of both Community Engagement and Social Justice Initiatives, citing, “we can do more.”

While the duo have been friends for over two decades, producing a few collaborations over the years, and notably being mentioned as one of Em’s favourite rappers, this new addition to the Marshall Mathers Foundation will bring the charitable organisation to the next level.

Royce Da 5’9″ posted to Instagram saying, “I’m super excited about not just donating money but launching new initiatives… My goals are simple. Provide privilege for the underprivileged and I’m honoured to team up with Eminem to do so.”

In a joint statement from both Eminem and Royce Da 5’9″, the pair stated: “It’s a question everyone should be asking themselves right now. How can I do more? We both recognise that by working together to expand the Marshall Mathers Foundation’s mission, we CAN do more. And we can do it quickly, effectively, and with real impact.”

The Marshall Mathers Foundation has been around since 2006, and is “dedicated to providing assistance to disadvantaged and at-risk youth primarily in Detroit, Michigan and it’s surrounding communities.”
