Just days after announcing the dates for their third run around the country, organisers of the Hotter Than Hell tour have just announced one of their best lineups yet.

For the last couple of years, Aussie rock fans have been having the time of their lives heading along to a festival that collects some of the best names in the genre and chucks them all onto the same lineup.

Following an inaugural year in 2018 that saw Eskimo Joe, Grinspoon, Jebediah, Killing Heidi, The Superjesus, 28 Days, Regurgitator, and Frenzal Rhomb hitting the road, organisers recaptured the magic again this year, bringing the likes of Magic Dirt, Spiderbait, Shihad, Bodyjar, and Area-7 to the people.

Earlier this week though, we received word that next year would see the festival returning once again, with gigs set to take place in South Australia, Victoria, Queensland, and Western Australia next February.

However, teasing the imminent release of the lineup, those in charge revealed things will be a bit different for the third edition, with a pair of international headliners leading the charge. Now, this highly-anticipated lineup has dropped, and it’s an absolute belter.

Kicking things off on the international front is none other than Everclear, who return to our shores for the first time since 2017, and for the first time since frontman Art Alexakis revealed his diagnosis with multiple sclerosis.

Having been one of the most prominent names in ’90s alt-rock, punters will get the chance to rock out to classics like ‘Santa Monica’ and ‘Heroin Girl’ once again.

Meanwhile, Southern Californian punk legends Unwritten Law will also be returning, having visited earlier last year as they slowly close in having played 100 gigs on our shores.

The Aussie contingency will be led by local legends Frenzal Rhomb, whose hilarious antics and crushing punk classics will be heard at all shows on the tour.

It doesn’t end there though, all shows except Dunsborough will see The Grates tearing things up, while ska greats Area 7 will only make an appearance in Gepps Cross and Townsville.

Additionally, a number a classic outfits will also be making one-off appearances, with Chasing Ghosts and Cosmic Psychos joining the Mt Evelyn lineup, Young Offenders joining the fun in Gepps Cross, and  Axe Girl, Motor Ace, and The Superjesus all turning the heat up in Dunsborough.

Tickets to all of these shows go on sale from 8am AEST on Thursday, October 17th, while members can access pre-sale tickets from 7am AEST on Tuesday, October 15th.

A lineup of this calibre only comes around but once in a lifetime, so don’t miss your chance to get loose and turn up the heat when the Hotter Than Hell tour comes your way this February!
