Remember Example? For a few years around the turn of the last decade, there were few bigger rappers in the U.K..
Hits like ‘Kickstarts’, ‘Changed the Way You Kiss Me’, and ‘Won’t Go Quietly’ mixed hip hop and EDM to make very 2010’s party anthems; his 2011 album Playing in the Shadows topped the U.K. Album Chart and went platinum.
While Example – real name Elliot John Gleave – is still making music, he took some time out to compete in The Great Celebrity Bake Off 2022, which aired this week.

The rest of the contestant’s efforts must have been much worse though, because Example was named as Star Baker for his Aussie cake. I wonder if a U.K. number one album can ever compare to winning The Great Celebrity Bake Off 2022.
Back to music, Example has his eight studio album on the way this June. After signing a global recording deal with BMG last year, the rapper released ‘Every Single Time’, the first single from the record, featuring singer-songwriter Lucy Lucy and producer What So Not. That was followed by ‘Never Let You Down’ in January, a collaboration with producer Kanine and singer-songwriter Penny Ivy.
