R&B singer faith Evans, best known for her vocals on The Police sampling 1997 hit ‘I’ll Be Missing You…’ along with Puff Daddy, has been arrested for drink driving at a police checkpoint in Los Angeles over the weekend. Officer Cleon Joseph of the LAPD said in a media statement that the 37-year-old Evans was arrested Saturday (Aug. 21) night close to Marina del Rey on suspicion of drink driving.
Evans was thrown in the drunk tank for a few hours before being released on bail the following morning. Her car was also impounded. She’s the widow of murdered East Coast rapper Christopher Wallace, AKA the Notorious BIG, who was fatally sprayed with bullets in an LA drive by in 1997.
