The Falls Music & Arts Festival is celebrating two milestones with this years event, turning 20 years old in Lorne, and enjoying a decade at the Marion Bay site; and to ensure they’ve got the biggest and best birthday and New Year’s celebration possible they’ve invited along another huge list of acts to join the already swelling lineup.

Joining The Flaming Lips, Beach House, and Two Door Cinema Club for the Lorne leg of the event is a long, exciting list of 27 Australian acts to round out the lineup, and this isn’t just a handful of bands or one or two key names we’re talking here – this is an entire festival’s worth of homegrown performers and artists; Including…

Boy wonder FLUME with his highly anticipated debut album; fellow wave makers PARACHUTE YOUTH setting the stage alight with their hypnotic tunes; jagged indie punk rockers BLEEDING KNEES CLUB; a furiously energetic rumble of sweaty, scratched-throat dedication from DZ DEATHRAYS; purveyors of harmonic pop with Melbourne lads HUSKY; electroclash mash-up dj AJAX; producing unhinged and unforgettable messy pop nuggets KING GIZZARD & THE LIZARD WIZARD.

Buzzy-band and party-ready WORLD’S END PRESS; getting down and dirty to light up the dance floor MIAMI HORROR DJS; THE RECHORDS providing quirky blends of vintage inspired blues and rockabilly; jumping headfirst down the rabbit hole and landing on the decks ALISON WONDERLAND; bringing his golden voice and impressive afro is FRASER A. GORMAN; look for the moody cinematic scope and sounds of THE TROUBLE WITH TEMPLETON; electronic-pop producer ELIZABETH ROSE with her skilful blend of astral beats, shadowy samples and lofty pop melodies.

Mash-up extraordinaire INDIAN SUMMER DJS; Tearing apart hearts and dance floors SOCCER MUM DJS; new kids on the block PEKING DUK; the reigning first ladies of Melbourne’s underground dance scene JEN TUTTY & KATIE DROVER; well known purveyor of good times around the globe CASSIAN; swinging to all sides of the emotional and sonic spectrums REGULAR JOHN; folk darlings TINPAN ORANGE; a sweaty, propulsive, glorious mess of primal musical energy with HOWLIN’ STEAM TRAIN; Australian roots rock sensation DANIEL CHAMPAGNE.

One-man journey through time, space and sound GREY GHOST; bringing instrumental car chase funk and smooth soundtrack soul is CACTUS CHANNEL; energetic Brisbane based 5-piece indie poppers CUB SCOUTS and rounding it out is Melbourne whiz-kid AIRWOLF.
