Festival of the Sun 2010 is officially SOLD OUT. And with organisers announcing the complete sell out over five weeks prior to the event, a record time in fact, this is by far the earliest sell out in the festivals six year history.

Festival programmer Scott Mesiti said on news of the sell-out, “Although we have sold out in previous years we have never had such a positive response this far out from the event. It’s a great feeling particularly as the Australian festival market is unbelievably competitive, but we honestly do feel we have a very different product and all round experience to offer… I guess it’s catching on. If you have missed out we hope to see you next year, and there a still a few competitions available through the website and some newspapers.”

If you missed out on tickets we’ve got a double pass to giveaway here at Tone Deaf too. Just head over to the ‘Win’ section to enter..

This years festival features a killer lineup including Xavier Rudd, Regurgitator, Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings, British India, Calling All Cars, That One Guy, Dallas Frasca, The Gin Club, The Seabellies, The Chemist, Barrel House, Slow Down Honey, Sierra Fin, Mojada, Ebb n Flo, Lee Rosser, The McMenamins, Bob Corbett, Lissa, Mojo Bluesman, Minnie Marks, Fans DJ’s plus one lucky triple j Unearthed Winner.
