One week after the Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins were in Australia for a surprise performance as their side project Chevy Metal, we’ve now received confirmation that the whole band will be returning to Australia in 2018 for what is set to be the rock tour of 2018.

That’s right, the mighty Foo Fighters will be making their way to Australia in January of 2018 for their ‘Concrete & Gold World Tour’, which will be the group’s first Australian shows since 2015, which saw them play a critically-acclaimed run of stadium dates.

Joining the Foo Fighters on their 2018 Aussie tour will be the beloved alternative rock legends Weezer. Having last visited Australian shores back in 2013, Weezer are getting ready to release their eleventh studio album, Pacific Daydream, on October 27th. Fans of both bands have long talked about the brilliant ‘Foozer’ tour in 2005 that saw both groups unite for a series of double-header shows that have gone down in history as some of the best either band have performed. Needless to say, Aussie fans are in for quite a treat.

Of course, there have also been a number of brilliant local acts added as supports as well, with Cosmic Kahuna, Amyl And The Sniffers, DZ Deathrays, The Preatures, and Clowns set to open proceedings in Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne, respectively.

With the Foo Fighters heading back to Australia to promote their newest record, the long-awaited Concrete And Gold, which is set for release on September 15th, we’re undoubtedly in for some amazing shows. With the group having previewed countless new songs in concert, as well as giving us some brand new singles in recent months, this will be the first time that Aussies get the chance to hear new material from the veteran rock act.

Tickets for these huge shows go on sale Friday, September 22nd, with the Frontier Touring pre-sale kicking off three days earlier. Be sure to get in quick though, because this is set to be one of the hottest tickets going around.
