Todd Harrell, a founding member and former bassist of Three Doors Down, has been sentenced to 10 years in Mississippi state prison.

Harrell was arrested in June of this year, after allegedly striking his wife. He was thereafter charged with assault, felony weapon possession and drug possession.

Harrell pleaded guilty to one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Jackson Country Judge Robert Krebs sentenced Harrell to serve the maximum penalty in custody.

Harrell was kicked out of Three Doors Down back in 2013. After being convicted of vehicular homicide and driving whilst impaired. Harrell was found to have alprazolam and oxycodone in his system when the accident took place — he was sentenced to two years in prison.

He was arrested again in 2014 and charged with driving under the influence.
