From gigs in the dark confines of Melbourne clubs to the stages of Splendour In The Grass and BIGSOUND, Fortunes have blown us away repeatedly with their live set – and impressed us in equal measure with their records.

We’re stoked to see, then, that they’ve just been picked up by Future Classic, and even more stoked that they’ve dropped one hell of a choon to celebrate. ‘501s’ is a damn intoxicating ode to jeans, (or rather, the one wearing them), Conor McCabe’s voice slinking back and forth over Barnaby Matthews’ piston beats, silk with a frayed edge.

The first new signing to Future Classic in a year, they now join the ranks of Flume and Seekae on the label, 2017 will see them supporting AlunaGeorge and playing St Jerome’s Laneway Festival in their former home of NZ. For now, they’re launching into a tour to celebrate the release – dates below.
