We’re well and truly into the new year now and after the forthcoming Laneway and Soundwave instalments finish zig-zagging across Australia, all eyes will be looking to July and Splendour In The Grass 2015. As it happens, we may have just received our first batch of clues for who might be on the lineup, thanks to Fuji Rock Festival.

Splendour In The Grass frequently shares multiple acts with the popular Japanese festival, which takes place on the same weekend. Last year, the two festivals swapped some 10 acts, including Splendour headliners Outkast and Lily Allen, as well as Foster The People, Kelis, London Grammar, Parquet Courts, Jungle, Darkside, Asgeir, and The Strypes.

Featuring on this year’s initial Fuji Rock announcement are Foo Fighters, Muse, The Bohicas, Cero, FKA twigs, Happy Mondays, Of Monsters and Men, Sheena Ringo, and Todd Rundgen. While we reckon asking for two visits from stadium giants Foo Fighters in one year is a bit much, the other names are all fair contenders for a Splendour appearance.

The dates and venue for Splendour In The Grass 2015 were announced earlier this month. The festival is set to once again return to the beautiful North Byron Parklands, its home since Splendour 2013, while the whole shebang is set to kick off on Friday, 24th July, going into Saturday 25th, and finishing up on Sunday, 26th July.
