Gang of Youths frontman Dave Le’aupepe is auctioning off the guitar he used to write and record ARIA winning album Go Farther In Lightness.
Triple J reports that the guitar is being auctioned through this website. All the proceeds will be donated to the Refugee and Immigrant Centre for Education and Legal Services; a not-for-profit organisation that provides free and low-cost legal services to immigrant children, families and refugees.
On the Reverb website Le’aupepe writes “I hope it goes to someone who’ll use it and love it the way that I did. It has been a part of me through the most significant period in my career and life and I hope it finds a loving home so that others in need can find a home in America after having to leave their own.”
Bidding closes on the 25th of July at 11:59pm AEDT.
