KISS bassist Gene Simmons has settled a sexual battery lawsuit with an unnamed female journalist who claimed he groped her during a face-to-face interview.

As Billboard reports, the plaintiff informed Los Angeles County Supreme Court Judge the case had been settled. Neither parties shared explicit details regarding the settlement.

The incident in question took place in November 2017 at Simmons’ Rock & Brews restaurant in Highland, California. The plaintiff has claimed that Simmons grabbed her hand, “forcibly flicked/struck” her throat and touched the reporters’ backside whilst a group photo was taken. He also reportedly turned the journalists questions into “sexual innuendos”.

In an interview with San Bernardino Sun the journalists attorney stated “My client is embarrassed and humiliated by the incident with Mr. Simmons,She filed suit because she wanted to make a strong statement that this behavior is unacceptable and she wants to see an end to this type of behavior.”

Simmons denied his behaviour in a tweet last December:
