London’s Gentlemen will release their debut EP in Australia on December 17 through UK label, Week of Wonders.
Composed of members from the UK, Italy and Australia, the five-piece – featuring vocalist brothers Paul and Edward Housden, guitarist Philip Brillo and rhythm section Simon Shields and Geno Carrapetta – connected through a shared love of anthemic jams, Kraut rock, experimental music and art.
Since debuting earlier this year with their single, ‘Sailor Of The Cosmic Ark’, the group has garnered a rapid rise to becoming one of London’s most immersive and eccentric live acts, with recent supports for favourites such as Foxygen and The Virgins.
Night Reels I is the first chapter in a tale of the quintet’s dream filled odyssey put to record in jaw-dropping style. With much anticipation now surrounding the band, Gentlemen‘s new single ‘Children Of The Setting Sun’ has already been receiving significant praise.

“This song, along with all of Night Reels I, was recorded in country Ireland. If you listen to this track close enough, you can hear our neighbours the cows in the recording. The video for this one was shot in the UK and follows a cosmonaut lost in the snow. It was a challenge as our space traveller almost lost his toes due to frostbite!”
Children Of The Setting Sun
“The song is cryptically about a faded movie star that moves to the jungle, goes savage and plays god to the native people. Sort of a Kurtz type thing. Until his followers turn on him… Also a perfect groove for shaking your hips to!”
