Golden Days Festival 2013 Lineup Announced, Grinspoon Headline

The Golden Days Festival is returning for 2013 and this morning the festival lineup has been announced. Held in Coolum on the Sunshine Coast and now entering its fourth year, Golden Days has revealed its all-star Australian lineup that will be hitting Queensland this November, with a slight change to the event. This year’s Golden Days will be 18+ for the very first time.

“The decision to go 18+ gives us more freedom in the style of bands we can choose from and less grey hairs stressing about some bands potentially dropping the F bomb on unsuspecting families,ʼ said festival co-organiser Mark Pico. “Weʼll still be continuing with the Eco Challenge which is held on the Sunday and is more family orientated,” he adds of the Surfrider co-ordinated event to raise funds for ocean ecology awareness.

Pico was responsible for putting together the lineup for the hugely successful Big Pineapple Festival, which sold out its first ever year, and some of the acts that featured at the stage playing the iconic Queensland landmark will be making an appearance at the sunny seaside town of Coolum.

Topping the bill are the Aussie rock veterans who need no introduction, Grinspoon. Joining them on the bill will be Brisbane pop oddballs Ball Park Music, Melbourne hip hop sensation Seth Sentry, Adelaide’s bearded humorous rockers The Beards, the vigorous sounds of Sydney’s Sticky Fingers, Melbourne rockers (and recent Grinspoon tour openers) Kingswood, Brisbane indies Battleships, a DJ set from Sydney duo Jackie Onassis, and plenty more.
