After The Basics went into indefinite hiatus last year – in part to make room for drummer Wally De Backer’s plan to release the now-chart topping record Making Mirrors under his Gotye moniker – frontman/bassist Kris Schroeder has announced the release of his own solo EP Patience In The Face Of Control.
De Backer, who is no doubt enjoying the massive success of his own record, will purportedly be on hand – along with all Basics past and present – to help his bandmate out with vocals at the EP launch this The Northcote Social club on Wednesday September 21.
