Nollsie has taken a desk job of sorts, being tapped at the Government’s new ambassador for live music.
Noll will be working in tandem with the Live Music Office to launch a series of regional music festivals. As an artist who regularly tours in regional venues, Noll is well aware of the lack of opportunity for musicians outside of the major cities.
Minister for the Arts, Troy Grant, echoed Nollsy sentiments: “Shannon knows how tough it can be to get a start in the music industry, especially if you’re from a small country town, and we’re delighted to have him involved in this initiative.”
Hopefully, Nollsie’s initiative works and renders his hit single ‘What About Me?’ wildly redundant.
