COVID-19 has shown that it doesn’t discriminate when it comes to infecting the rich and famous – and now it seems Grimes is the latest celebrity to be diagnosed with Coronavirus. While such a scenario would be scary for most, the pop star reveals that she’s actually enjoying it.

Taking to Instagram, Grimes shared her diagnosis with her 1.6m followers through a story.

“Finally got COVID but weirdly enjoying the DayQuil Fever Dream 2021″

She then finished the post by saying, “this song is soooo,” in reference to Good Days by SZA.

The 32-year-old hasn’t elaborated with any more details about her symptoms or how she’s affected.

Grimes welcomed a baby boy named X Æ A-XII with her partner, Elon Musk, in May this year. The reference of the word ‘finally’ in her post may be referring to the fact that Musk was diagnosed with Coronavirus in November, and she didn’t get it.

“My symptoms are that of a minor cold, which is no surprise since a coronavirus is a type of cold,” Musk tweeted at the time of his diagnosis, a tweet which drew must criticism and accusations that he wasn’t understanding the severity of the virus.

“Something extremely bogus is going on,” he also tweeted. “Was tested for covid four times today. Two tests came back negative, two came back positive.”

The CEO has been dismissive of COVID-19 in the past. In March 2020, he predicted there would be close to zero cases in America by April 2020.

His COVID-19 related tweets are not the first time Musk has stirred trouble on the platform, in June Grimes told him to turn his phone off after he slammed Twitter.

“I love you but please turn off ur phone or give me a dall [sic]

“I cannot support hate. Please stop this. I know this isn’t your heart.” She posted in some now-deleted tweets.
