Aussie rock legends Grinspoon are set to hit the road later this year, announcing an extensive national tour in support of their new compilation, Chemical Hearts.
For close to 25 years, Grinspoon have been one of the most revered and beloved acts on the Australian music scene. With countless classic singles, numerous tracks in the Hottest 100, and some of the best live shows around, they’re undoubtedly icons of the Aussie scene.
Ever since they first shared ‘Sickfest’ with the folks at triple j Unearthed back in 1995, Grinspoon have been a staple of Australian music, and now, the group are set to continue their legacy, heading out on tour armed with a new vinyl compilation called Chemical Hearts.
“It is with great delight that we announce a cute little sojourn around the country with Grinspoon visiting (hopefully) all of you!” explained frontman Phil Jamieson. “We are going to be doing a little thing called Chemical Hearts.”
“The tour comes with the crazy new vinyl record which features (arguably) some of our favourites on wax.”
Featuring all of their biggest hits on a nifty little vinyl record, the Chemical Hearts tour will see the band kicking things off in Fremantle this October, before visiting Perth, Melbourne, Canberra, Hobart, Adelaide, Wollongong, Newcastle, Sydney, the Gold Coast, and Brisbane, taking some of the finest acts on the scene today along for the ride.
“Joining us are absolute legends of the game The Hard Aches, Gooch Palms and Bugs,” Jamieson continued. “These concerts will have a very exciting atmosphere due to the individual scintillating performances by these amazing acts.”
“We’re super excited to be doing this tour. We don’t get out much anymore and our last one focused primarily on our first record and this one will take a more broad approach to the little nuggets of songs that came between 1995 and 2013.”

Tickets to the band’s Chemical Hearts tour go on sale from 10am local time from Grinspoon’s website on Friday, June 7th, with an exclusive Telstra pre-sale kicking off 48 hours earlier on June 5th.
The Chemical Hearts compilation will be released on October 11th, with pre-sales available now.
