Amid the current coronavirus outbreak, Guns N’ Roses have announced that their planned 2021 Australian tour will be rescheduled to summer 2022.

The new dates will take place across November and December next year, with all tickets valid for the newly-announced shows.

“Australia, we can’t wait to see you bigger and better next Summer,” the band wrote in a statement.

“We worked for months with the various state governments trying to create a safe environment so that the Guns N’ Roses tour could proceed this year,” commented Paul Dainty, President and CEO of TEG DAINTY in a statement today.

“Despite our best efforts it recently became clear that we could not proceed in 2021 and it has taken time to finalise a plan where we could be confident of completing a national tour of Australia next year.

“This will be the biggest stadium rock tour of Summer 2022 with hundreds of people on the road, a massive production and logistics involved.”

The forthcoming tour will mark Guns N’ Roses first Australian shows in five years, following their 2017 Not in This Lifetime… world tour.

The 2017 tour was a nod to the famously repeated words from Axl Rose, regarding whether the band would ever perform with the Use Your Illusion-era lineup. The tour was the second highest-grossing tour of all time, with over $584,200,000 USD being raised across 158 shows.

A special release of new tickets for the forthcoming tour will go on sale today, you can find all the relevant information below.
