Please do not drink bleach to treat coronavirus.

The correspondence between GWAR and the coronavirus pandemic is one of the rare, fleeting joys we’ve felt in this chaotic time. The masked thrashers have once again come to the table with a gory covid hot take.

In case you missed it, earlier this month US President Donald Trump suggested that injecting disinfectant into people’s lungs might have value as a coronavirus treatment. A claim that left supporters befuddled and The Onion out of business.

GWAR have issued a response public service announcement, echoing the Presidents sentiments.

“It was really great to hear our president in America say that it was OK to, you know, use bleach as a cleaner, or as a drug. I mean,” the band shared in a video. “GWAR’s been using it as a drug forever, so, you know, this is the stuff,”

Drummer Jizmak Da Gusha stated. “You can inhale it, that’s a fun way. You can try to smoke it, shoot it. Obviously, drink it that’s the best. That’s what I like to do, just get the big old bottle and chug away!”
