In their three short years, Adelaide pals Heaps Good Friends have been churning out the tunes, and they’re back with a groovy new beat – ‘Fold Laundry Together’

Only two years removed from their debut EP Hug Me, ’80s inspired synth-pop collective Heaps Good Friends have delivered the goods for their highly-anticipated return with the sensational ‘Fold Laundry Together’

Filled with tonnes of peppy beats on top of the wispy, dream-like voice of Emma Fradd, ‘Fold Laundry Together’ sees the group hitting back to the scene with a tune that’s sure to get you out of your iso blues, and up and dancing once again.

On the new tune, vocalist Fradd explains that the idea behind the track comes from literally folding laundry while having a bit of a crush on the mate who was folding alongside her.

“Late one night, with a glass of whiskey, (in a big house in Atlanta, Georgia) my brother’s friend and I folding all of my brother’s family’s laundry. It was quite nice to have a task to be doing as you are chatting, getting to know someone. A pre-date, get to know you option, I would recommend to anyone,” Fradd details.

“Trying to help around the house of my brother’s big family lead to a scene of me folding my brother’s laundry with a friend of his (who I had a crush on). It was really nice…”

So, if you’re anything like us, and aren’t a fan of doing the laundry, especially the folding bit, grab a pal (once social distancing is over) and spin Heaps Good Friends new tune ‘Fold Laundry Together’, as it’s sure to make the chore a bit more palatable and groovy.
