New York City alternative metal icons Helmet are set to make their return to Australia next year, bringing their 30 Years – 30 Songs tour down under.

When Page Hamilton left noise-rock outfit Band Of Susans back in 1989, few knew that what would follow would be one of the most revered alt-metal bands of all time.

Forming Helmet that same year, it didn’t take long before the group had recorded their debut album, bursting onto the scene with the release of 1990’s Strap It On.

As the years continued, the band’s success only grew, with 1994’s Betty helping to turn them into household names, before a split in 1998 seemingly ended the band for good.

While Helmet would reform in 2004, Hamilton remains their only original member, helping to continue the legacy of the iconic and influential group by pumping out stunning tracks and delivering powerful live shows at every turn.

Now, after kicking off their 30th anniversary tour back in September, Helmet have revealed they’ll be bringing their innovative brand of metal to Australian shores in 2020.

Announcing a run of Aussie dates earlier today, Helmet will be touring around the country in May of 2020 with their ’30 Years – 30 Songs’ format, celebrating the last three decades with a lengthy set full of 30 of their best and most iconic tracks.
