It’s been a hot minute since Hot Chip were last in the country, but now, the English electro-pop icons are set to return for their first visit to our shores in over three years.
Earlier this year, Hot Chip returned to our ears with A Bath Full Of Ecstasy, their first full-length release since 2015’s Why Make Sense? While the album scored itself some critical praise across the board, fans soon found themselves wondering if this would result in the band’s return to Australia.
Last in the country for a DJ set at the 2016 Beyond The Valley festival, our prayers began to be answered last week when Hot Chip were included on the Golden Plains and Farmer & The Owl festival lineups.
Now, with excitement rising to fever pitch, Hot Chip have today announced a run of headline dates which will see them play all over the country next March.
Kicking things off on February 29th at Wollongong’s Farmer & The Owl, Hot Chip are set to hit up Canberra, Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne, before wrapping it all up at the Golden Plains festival on March 8th.
All of these headline shows will see the group joined by Harvey Sutherland, who will be delivering a stunning live show to eager audiences, and showcasing why he’s one of the most vital names on the Australian music scene.
Tickets to these shows go on sale from Friday, October 25th, with a Secret Sounds pre-sale kicking off a day earlier on Thursday, October 24th. Check out all the tour details below!
