If Iggy Pop’s last album, Post Pop Depression, a wry, post-punky romp made in collaboration with Queens of the Stone Age chief Josh Homme is anything to go by, Iggy Pop may be considering retirement.

Best known as the shirtless, peanut butter-covered, body-contorting Godfather of Punk, just what would one of the most iconic figures in rock and roll history do with all of that time on his hands?

Well, spend time with his pet cockatoo, of course. As Pitchfork notes, Biggy Pop is the legendary frontman’s beloved pet bird, for whom Iggy maintains a dedicated Instagram channel filled with clips of the two engaging in all acts of mirth.

You know, come to think of it, if Iggy gets bored with retirement, he could have a second act as a social media star. Who wouldn’t drink detox tea approved by Iggy Pop and his pet cockatoo? Exactly.
