Now it’s personal. Insane Clown Posse have cancelled the 2020 instalment of their annual music festival, Gathering of the Juggalos. For the first time in its 20-year history, Juggalos and Juggalette’s will not spend their summer congregating to the gospel of Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope.

“We are dedicated first and foremost to the safety and health of our family,” Insane Clown Posse shared in a statement.

“With tens of thousands of deaths due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we can’t possibly in good conscience even consider trying to put on a Gathering during these difficult times.

“Aside from serious health concerns, there are numerous other factors that have destroyed any possibility of the Gathering taking place this year. The entire music industry is at a dead halt due to the quarantine, and this, along with the uncertainty of how things will eventually pan out, has made it impossible to move forward with a 2020 GOTJ.

“That aside, the bottom line is simply that we REFUSE to risk even ONE Juggalo life by hosting a Gathering during these troubling times.”

The band shared a mantra from Fred Fury and Flip the Rat to keep morale up during these bleak times. “BE SAFE: Watch your step and take it easy. You can’t replace what you mean to our team. Without you, tell me where the fuck we’d be?”

Earlier this year, Insane Clown Posse announced a new platform where they will make personalised videos in exchange for money. Custom Clown Clips is essentially just Cameo for the whoop whoop! community and we couldn’t fuck with the vision harder. The app will allow customers to “send personalized messages to friends, loved ones, family, your enemies, or basically anybody with an email address.” You can read more about it here.
