Remember last month when The Twigs publicly revealed that they were still pressing FKA twigs to change her name as it was apparently too similar to theirs? Pretty ridiculous and to think, it could have all been avoided if FKA twigs had of known about the following website. Well, maybe.
Introducing ‘Is this band name taken’, a website that has an unbelievable amount of band names from around the globe in a database, as found by the guys at Acclaim.

The website is easy to use, simply type in your desired performing moniker and see if someone, somewhere is already using the name. And after you do that, try and trick the tool by entering as many band names you can possibly think of – it’s crazy how many acts it already knows.
It’s fair to say that we wasted a decent whack of time with this addictive site testing plenty of our favourite local bands – to which it knew almost all of them.
