Sometimes the internet is so, so good to us. Jack Black is currently in the midst of tramping around South America with Tenacious D for Rock in Rio festival. Somehow, between rocking out with his band, Black has managed to find time to provide us with a dollop of truly impeccable content.

This month saw the internet get swept up in a flurry of Area 51 happenings. In celebration of the spirit of storming Area 51, Jack Black has uploaded a video of himself Naruto running through a series of iconic film scenes.

In a video posted to Black’s Twitter, the musician can be seen charging through the most memorable scenes in Jurassic Park, Jumanji, Avengers: Endgame, Chariots of Fire and Forrest Gump. The minute-long video culminates in Black running through a news report from the scene of the Area 51 raids. It’s quite simply a cinematic triumph that makes Frances Ford Coppola’s output look like a pile of shit. You can check it out below.

In related news, Tenacious D recently appeared on 95.5 KLOS. During the interview, the band delved into their highly-anticipated collaboration with Jack White.

“It was just a fortuitous coincidence that we were coming to Nashville, where Jack White HQ is, he lives there and he’s got his rad studio there. And he said, ‘hey, I heard you guys are coming to my town. Do you want to come and just record a quick jam?’,” Black explained.

“He’s got this setup where you can record direct to vinyl, and we’re, like, ‘Yeah, we got to write a song for that, we can’t just play one of our oldies. We’ll write something up.’

“And then he was, like, ‘Hey, you want to take it a step further and come to my house and record in my home studio?’ We’ll do a level up above just recording direct to vinyl, we’ll, like, do it for real.”

Black likened the experience of recording in White’s homes studio to “going to Graceland or something.”

“You go into the gates and no filming or photos allowed, and we got a look inside the inner sanctum of the genius known as Jack White.”

“Every room had, like, the painstaking detail of, like, strange humour and genius and mystery.”

When asked about when fans can expect the collaboration to drop, Black shared “I have no idea when it’s coming out,” whilst Kyle Gass predicted “I’m saying this year.”
