Jack White is undoubtedly one of music’s busiest personalities. Between overseeing the countless releases that his Third Man Records label unleashes, maintaining a brilliant solo career, and becoming a children’s book author, it’s amazing that he finds time to take a breath. However it seems that he’s found some time to start work on his newest solo album, at least according to Instagram.

Jack White’s Third Man Records Instagram page today shared out a couple of images of the blues-rocker hard at work (which here means ‘posing for photos with other musicians and studio personnel’). The images indicate that White’s new record is being recorded at unnamed studios in New York City and Los Angeles – a far cry from his usual haunt of Third Man Studios in Nashville, Tennessee.

While we’d previously heard about how Jack White’s newest record was being written in one of the most boring locations possible, and while we had seen signs of new music with the release of the heavy new single ‘Battle Cry’ recently, it’s exciting to know that there’s another full-length LP in the works.

Jack White’s most recent solo record, Lazaretto, was released in 2014 and became one of the biggest sellers of the year, thanks in part to its nifty vinyl release which saw Jack White unleash his inner vinyl nerd. While White hasn’t been in the country for quite a while now, here’s hoping that a third record will bring White back to Aussie shores once more.
